Welcome to St. Charles Catholic Church and School,

Whether you are returning to St. Charles Catholic School or a newcomer, along with our staff and school families I welcome you to our home which began here at Cable and Elm nearly 65 years ago.

St. Charles Parish was founded in 1953 and from the start included the religious education of our children as part of our parish mission. In 1955, St. Charles opened its own Catholic school on this side of Lima in order to teach as Jesus did - lifting up the love of God and love of neighbor. We hold a deep respect for the spirituality of all, especially children, and over the years have welcomed children of all faiths to our school. We seek always to shape the next generation of Catholics who are ready to serve here locally and to share the message of Christ throughout the world.

St. Charles Catholic School is accredited by the Diocese of Toledo and the Ohio Catholic School Accrediting Association. We are proud to serve children from three-years-old to kindergarten in our Early Education Wing and first through eighth grade in our Main Building. We create a caring, respectful environment which promotes academic excellence, develops responsible citizenship, and fosters lifelong learning. Our school strives to reach each child through an engaging environment filled with hands-on teaching, project-based learning, and a true compassion for life.

I invite you to explore our website for an opportunity to learn more about our vibrant school. Please contact our Principal, Mrs. Megan Scheid, at (419) 222-2536, or scheidm@sccslima.org for more information or to arrange a tour. She looks forward to hearing from you!

If I can ever be of assistance, please do not hesitate to contact me, or any other member of our Pastoral Ministry Team, by calling the Pastoral Care Office at (419) 228-7635 or kaufmank@sccslima.org.

Sincerely in Christ,

Rev. Kent Kaufman
