K-4 Christmas Program

Dear Parents:

We are all working hard in preparation for the 2019 St. Charles Catholic School Christmas Program! You will be awed and touched by the musical gifts of our Kindergarten through 4th Graders. The students are so excited to share all of the hard work they have been doing in music class in preparing for this festive musical performance. The Christmas Program will be on Tuesday, December 17th in the St. Charles gymnasium.

This year we will be hosting two different shows as we know that our space is limited in the gym. The first show will be at 12:00 p.m. and the second show will begin at 6:30 p.m. Guests may enter through the west gym

doors for either performance. Cookies will be served in the cafeteria after the evening program.

  • Kindergarten, 1st Grade, and 4th Grade will be performing the theme “Wrappin Up 2019” and will last approximately 30 minutes

  • 2nd Grade and 3rd Grade will be performing “The Twelve Days of Christmas” and will last approximately 30 minutes.

It is very important for the success of the show to have all students present. If your child is not able to attend, please notify the teacher.

A few notes for you and the students prior to the Christmas program:

  • All students will be singing in their school uniform. I understand how the holiday season can be hectic with extracurricular activities and holiday preparations, so for consistency and convenience for your family, we will be in uniform for the Christmas program.

  • Please have your child(ren) in their homeroom no later than 6:15 p.m. The entire 2nd Grade class will meet in Miss Recker’s room in the basement. It will provide time to prepare them in whatever capacity needed prior to the performance and allow you to find a spot in the gymnasium to enjoy watching your child(ren)! PLEASE do not drop them off any earlier than 6:00 p.m. Our homeroom teachers are volunteering their time to assist in the performance and for them to account for the students, we need to be able to supervise where they are during that time frame.

  • Following the conclusion of the performance you may pick up your child(ren) in their homeroom or music room. All students will remain with their teacher until a parent/guardian picks them up as they will not be permitted to wander around unsupervised. There will be a small break between the two shows if you are unable to stay for both performances.

  • If you or your family members cannot attend either of our two performances, we will have the performance on Facebook Live for you to watch. Please be sure to “like” us (if you have not already done so) and you can catch it online, as well.

  • In preparation for the show, the music for each grade level can be found on our school website. Go to Miss Recker’s page in the menu and select the appropriate grade level for your student(s).

Thank you!

Miss Recker
