INTERNET SAFETY

staying safe online

Dear Parents,

The Internet is becoming more and more a part of our children's lives. It can provide them with a wealth of educational information. However, there are sites we do not want them to visit and safety rules we want them to know if they are using the Intenet and chatting on-line. At school the Internet is filtered to block unwanted sites. When we have the students using the Internet we are directing them to the sites we want them to visit and are monitoring them.

I am covering Internet safety in my classes and would like to provide you with information to help you at home. Going over safety rules with them and monitoring their use of the computer is a great way to see that they use the computer in a safe way.

I am providing some sites for you to visit with your children. I hope you find them helpful as well as entertaining.

Sincerely,

Mrs. Daley
