Talent Show

As we are approaching the end of the school year, it is also time to celebrate the amazing talents of our Grades 3-8 students! The St. Charles Catholic School Talent Show will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, May 13, 2022 in the St. Charles Catholic School Gymnasium. As you are preparing to audition for the show, audition judges use the following criteria in deciding who will be selected to participate in the show:

Preparedness - Be as prepared as possible for the performance. A good candidate has a performance that is memorized and well-rehearsed.

Stage Presence - The student should be confident and comfortable in his/her performance in order to be part of the show, as well as having an appropriate body language and demeanor onstage.

Quality - A quality performance is well-rehearsed and engaging for an elementary and middle school audience.

Appropriateness - The content and language, including the words of dance songs, must be “G” rated. Costumes are categorized in this criteria, as well. If the costume is deemed inappropriate, then it must be adjusted to fit a more appropriate nature.

Auditions will take place after school on Monday, April 25th and Wednesday, April 27th. Sign-up sheets will be posted outside of Miss Vorst’s door beginning on Monday, April 11th. When planning for your audition, please be sure to bring everything as if you were performing that day. If there are song lyrics, please include a print copy of the lyrics used in your act. Once acts are selected, there will be a minimum of two rehearsals leading up to the show. Please keep all acts under 5 minutes. Acts that are selected for the show will be posted on Friday, April 29th
