Christmas Program

Dear Parents:

We are working hard in preparation for the 2022 St. Charles Catholic School Christmas Program! You will be awed and touched by the musical gifts of our Kindergarten through 4th Graders and 5-8th Grade Band members. The students are so excited to share all of the hard work they have been doing in music and band class to prepare for this festive performance. The Christmas Program will be on Wednesday, December 14th in the St. Charles gymnasium. It is very important for the success of the show to have all students present. If your child is not able to attend, please notify the teacher.

Due to the space in our school gym and the number of students performing, the program will be split into two separate acts with an intermission or break in between:

  • At 6:00 p.m. - 5-8th Grade Band will perform a few short selections, followed by the Kindergarten and 1st Grade who will perform “The ABCs of Christmas,” lasting approximately 40 minutes. Band students need to be in the band room at 5:30 p.m. and K-1 students need to be in their homeroom at 5:45 p.m.

  • At 7:15 p.m. - 4th Grade will perform on their recorders, followed by the 2nd and 3rd Grade who will perform “Jingle All the Way,” lasting approximately 45 minutes. Students need to be in their homeroom by 7:05 p.m.

A few notes for all families prior to our evening Christmas program:

  • All students will be performing in their school uniform. We understand how the holiday season can be hectic with extracurricular activities and holiday preparations, so for consistency and convenience for your family, we will be in uniform for the Christmas program.

  • Please have your child(ren) in their room by their designated time (above). It will provide time to prepare them in whatever capacity needed prior to the performance and allow you to find a spot in the gymnasium to enjoy the show! PLEASE do not drop them off any earlier than 5:30 p.m. for the first performance or 6:45 p.m. for the second performance. Our homeroom teachers are volunteering their time to assist with the performance and for them to account for the students, we need to be able to supervise where they are during that time frame.

  • At the conclusion of each performance, you may pick up your child(ren) in their homeroom. Students will remain with their teacher until a parent/guardian picks them up as they will not be permitted to walk around unsupervised. To be courteous of all performers, please plan to stay for the duration of your child(ren)’s scheduled show.

  • Between the two performances, from approximately 6:45 p.m. until 7:10 p.m. before the second performance begins, you are invited to join us for refreshments in the cafeteria. Families at the first performance should pick up your child(ren) in their homeroom before heading to the cafeteria. Families coming only for the second performance are invited to join us for refreshments beforehand then drop off their child(ren) to their homeroom.

  • Guests may enter through the west or east gym doors as well as the front main doors.

If you or your family members cannot attend either of our two performances, we will have the performance on Facebook Live for you to watch. Please be sure to “like” us (if you have not already done so) and you can catch it online, as well.

Thank you!
